LA MOLA LIGHTHOUSEThe landscape of la Mola is marked by the high number of dry stone walls that split the farmings and protect them from the wind and the catter. At the furthest point we can find the lighthouse of la Mola, where a monolith reminds us that Jules Verne turned la Mola into the place where his novel Hector Servadac took place, and possibly inspired Lighthouse at the End of the World. |

Located at the highest point of the island, is one of the most peaceful towns of Formentera. Owing the fact of the distance, El Pilar de la Mola is less frequented by tourists hence there are few stores and restaurants. Its biggest charm is the hippie market that opens twice every week attracting a lot of people from around. Another thing worth visiting is the lighthouse, located over the cliffs from where wonderful sunsets can be contemplated.
